Father's Day
Unfortunately I don't exactly remember what we did for Jason to celebrate Father's Day (and I doubt he'd remember either so I don't feel so bad about it). But I do know that we went to Outback Steakhouse for dinner since we had a gift card. Since then, we went back another time to use the remaining balance on the card...and it was returned to us with nearly the same remaining balance on it. It appears we got a free meal. Maybe it'll never run out?
Disappearing cookie
As a *reward* for becoming potty trained (ehem) way back when Eric was a young three, I treated him to a cookie at a local bakery. It seemed only fitting to treat him to another cookie as an old three since he became fully (ehem) potty trained. Maybe he'll get another one when he makes it through the night...

Janet comes to town, along with Christina (and Jeff)
We had so much fun when Janet came to visit. She stayed with us, while Christina stayed with their cousin Jeff. We played games, ate tons and hung out. I got to go with them for an adults-only night at the movies...we saw Hangover since Night at the Museum II was sold out. We met up with Karen and Eliza for a nice day at the park and a farewell visit before they moved to Houston. We tried Iguana's (thanks to Man vs. Food) and took them to Scramblz.

All the way from Spain
It had been two years since Gema's last visit to CA and we were so glad to have her come stay with us for a little while. We met up college friends Oanh and Tamar, as well as visited with Yolanda, Gema's friend. After two nights at our place, we (Eric, Talia, Gema & I) drove down to LA. We stayed at Blair and Damian's during Memorial Day weekend and had a fabulous time hanging out with them, spending time with Leah and her crew, and catching up with Elena and her family. Of course a visit to LA wouldn't be complete without visiting grandparents, so we topped off the trip by visiting both sets. Special thanks to Grandma Sharon for making the return trip with us. *So* much easier with two adults in the car!
Miss Trudi's Farewell Party

Even though we hadn't been taking swimming lessons with Trudi for a while, we wanted to wish her well as she moved on to the next chapter of her life. Eric was lucky enough to get some one-on-one time with her, despite the fact that there were tons of people at her farewell party. It was great to see her again after so long. We have many amazing swimming memories with her!
