Aunt Sherrie in Oakland

While Grandma & Grandpa Visited...
Talia's First Birthday
We celebrated Talia's first birthday at our house, since our plans to have her party at the park changed last minute due to rain. Friends and family gathered for a morning full of playing (aka managed chaos), pizza and cupcakes. In addition to some of our local friends, Grandma & Grandpa Katz came into town for the occasion and cousins Matt, Jen and Brennan came down from Oakland for the festivities.
March for Babies
On April 25, 2009 we went to Vasona Park for our second March of Dimes' March for Babies. We met up with some playgroup friends and had a great day full of walking, playing and eating -- all for such a good cause. It was especially fun to return to the March because the year prior was my due date and I was still pregnant with Talia. This time round, Talia was a part of the action and enjoyed being outside with everyone, even took a nap in the stroller. Thank you to everyone for your donations and support! (In this pic, Eric is marching along the trail with our friend Liz.)

Aunt Jan Visits
Aunt Jan came for a quick visit - she came to our house, met Talia, visited with Andrea & Eric and joined all of us (minus Jason) for lunch at Le Boulanger. It was a short time, but we were so happy to be able to see her and catch up a bit. The next morning Eric said he wished Aunt Jan could come to our house again (hopefully it'll be soon!).
Coyote Point Playground & Museum
So officially part of our Spring Break, but not with Jason (absent due to golfing), one day we also went to Coyote Point, a fabulous recreational area in San Mateo. We started off at the amazing playground and then headed to the museum that had a variety of zoological exhibits, as well as natural world displays and hands-on activities. Eric made a whirlpool in a bottle, learned about waves, played with a magnet table and more! Talia had fun too.
