to the big bathtub. A few weeks ago Talia was so messy after lunch that I decided she needed a bath. I asked if Eric wanted to take a bath with her and if he'd help me with her in the big tub. He agreed and so Talia's first bath in the big tub was with Eric. Unfortunately I didn't have the foresight to bring the camera with me (I was lucky to get a towel and washcloth within arm's reach). I forgot how much attention a little one needs in the bath! She did great and it's so much easier, so we've made the switch and doubt we'll go back. She doesn't even mind when we use the shower head to rinse her hair!

She's graduated...

Roaring Camp Railroad for Diego's Birthday
We were very lucky to be guests at our preschool friend Diego's fourth birthday party. The four of us headed up to Felton for a fun-filled day of trains at Roaring Camp. We took an hour and a half steam train ride, then spent time afterwards eating treats and playing in the fields.
Shopping with the professional shoppers
We had a really nice visit from Grandma & Grandpa Katz at the beginning of February. (Thank you for coming to spend my birthday with me!) Besides hanging around the house, we spent one day at the mall where Andrea was treated to a mini-shopping spree with Grandma & Talia, and Eric was treated to a memorable pretzel and shopping with Grandpa.
Swimming Lessons
Eric started swimming lessons again at the beginning of January, after a *very* long hiatus. He's in a class with three other students, one of whom is a friend from his old preschool. He loves going every week and really looks forward to it. He's doing very well putting his head under the water and climbing out of the pool, and he's working on taking strokes and holding his breath for longer.

Our Little Girl
Talia absolutely loves her new play center from Aunt Lori. She spends tons of time playing with the balls and making the music go off. She's also figured out how to make the balls go down the spiral slide. (Eric loves it too!) I just love these pics of her, with her pretty hair clip from Blair, Damian & Molly. I really need to buy her some more to tame her long bangs...
Show Week at the Little Gym
With heavy hearts, we bid Eric's Little Gym run adieu at the end of January. Though we love the staff and facility we felt it was time for Eric to move on to something different. So, we celebrated his more than two and half years of Little Gym classes with his final Show Week. It's really amazing to remember how when he started a class with Miss Trish he couldn't even pull to a stand. Now our little boy is doing running forward rolls...and much, much more!
PA Jr Museum

At the end of January, we met up with Karen & Eliza at the Junior Museum & Zoo in Palo Alto. Though it wasn't Talia's first visit to the museum, it was the first time she was old enough to actually take advantage of some of the fun activities there -- mainly sucking on a tennis ball. She also enjoyed watching the big kids running around and all of the activity surrounding her. We spent time catching up with Karen and watched Eliza polish off quite a big meal. As always, Eric enjoyed himself.
